Abha Indurkar
Senior Research Associate
Abha is a development economist with over a decade of experience working on gender equity, rural development, and policy evaluation across South Asia and Africa. Prior to joining DIA, Abha worked as an Extended-Term Consultant with the World Bank, where she contributed to poverty and equity analytics, distributional analysis of fiscal policies, and COVID-19 impacts. She has also held research roles with J-PAL South Asia, BRAC Uganda, and Watershed Organization Trust (WOTR), leading and supporting randomized evaluations, large-scale household surveys, and mixed-methods field research.
Abha holds an MS in International and Development Economics from the University of San Francisco, USA, and an MA in Economics from Fergusson College, Pune. Abha is passionate about applying rigorous empirical research to inform inclusive public policy.;
