Aishi Mitra
Research Associate
Aishi Mitra is a Research Associate at DIA who holds an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a BA in International Relations and Economics, with a minor in Media Studies, from the Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts (SSLA). She has a strong background in academic and policy research, with experience as both a qualitative and quantitative researcher, as well as an editor and writer for academic journals and think tanks.
She has also led field research and project management initiatives during her time with the UN-ECOSOC–affiliated United Religions Initiative (URI) in its India and Afghanistan offices. At DIA, Aishi is excited to contribute to research at the intersection of policymaking and academia, with a particular interest in gender, development economics, and policy.
Outside of work, she is a trained Kathak dancer, an avid reader, and a keen admirer of world cinema;
